January 6 – A grand delivery ceremony for the Sunward SWE1650FLR long-reach excavator was held at Sunward Industrial Park, marking a significant breakthrough in the company's high-end equipment manufacturing. As Sunward's latest and largest-tonnage model in the long-reach segment, featuring the longest boom in its class in China, the official handover of the SWE1650FLR represents another major achievement. The ceremony was attended by over 100 guests, including Sunward's executive team, customer representatives, and employee delegates.

He emphasized that in 2025, the company's excavator business maintained steady growth, driving innovation in high-end, intelligent, and green solutions. This includes launching multiple electric models and industry-leading machines, completing series upgrades, deepening market presence in mature regions like Europe with innovative approaches, and achieving breakthroughs in emerging markets such as Africa.

The newly delivered SWE1650FLR is engineered based on Sunward's "Pioneering Innovation" philosophy. Featuring a 10.8-meter boom combined with a 7.7-meter reinforced stick, it achieves comprehensive expansion in height, depth, and reach: a maximum digging height of 17.2 meters, a maximum digging depth of 13.3 meters, and a ground-level reach of 20.5 meters. These capabilities make it ideal for challenging applications such as high slopes along highways and railways, as well as large-area operations in ports and material yards. Equipped with a 4 m³ heavy-duty bucket, it maintains robust efficiency even under extended reach conditions, delivering both "long reach and strong power" to support global construction needs.

Its power system adopts a globally pioneering dual-system solution for this tonnage class, utilizing two mature 90-ton powertrains working in synergy to optimize power output and fuel economy. The hydraulic system integrates four main pumps and two main valves, paired with symmetrically arranged work cylinders, significantly enhancing operational coordination and smoothness in combined movements.

In terms of maintenance and safety, the SWE1650FLR embodies the dual principles of "Convenient Maintenance" and "Human-Centered Safety." Key features include an integrated layout for main filters, dual systems for fully automatic centralized lubrication and semi-automatic reel lubrication, and an intelligent one-click reverse fan function for dust cleaning—all contributing to improved serviceability and operational continuity. Operator safety is ensured through a panoramic elevated cab design, 14 high-brightness LED lights, four panoramic cameras, multiple emergency stop buttons, and modular anti-slip maintenance walkways.

The SWE1650FLR represents another milestone in Sunward's long-reach excavator series, following the successful batch deliveries of the world-record digging depth model SWE950ELR and the mining/port models SWE750FLR and SWE600FLR. With this addition, Sunward's long-reach lineup now spans ten models from the SWE150ELR to the SWE1650FLR, forming the industry's most complete tonnage coverage.

The SWE1650FLR is set to depart for the Middle East to participate in overseas projects.
