Short version:
Sunward Europe is expanding its construction equipment portfolio with the European launch of two new compact articulated wheel loaders : the SL 06W and the SL 12W, presented at Bauma 2025 in Munich. Designed to deliver power, agility and reliability, these new models position Sunward as a full-range equipment supplier.
The SL 06W offers exceptional manoeuvrability and a compact footprint, ideal for urban construction and landscaping, while the SL 12W combines strong lifting capacity and operator comfort, making it the perfect choice for heavy-duty tasks in tight spaces. Both loaders feature Kubota Stage V engines, hydraulic quick couplers, and optional cabins with ROPS/FOPS certification.
Sunward continues to deliver excellent value, European support, and machines tailored for real jobsite challenges.
Long version:
At Bauma 2025, Sunward Europe officially enters the compact wheel loader market in Europe with the introduction of two brand-new articulated models: the SL 06W and SL 12W. These loaders are the latest expression of Sunward’s ambition to become a full-range supplier of construction equipment in Europe and mark a significant milestone in the brand’s continued growth.
SL 06W: compact versatility
Weighing in at just 1,700 kg, the SL 06W is the smaller of the two new loaders, powered by a robust Kubota Stage V engine with 18.5 kW output. Despite its compact dimensions (only 1.12 m wide), this machine delivers serious performance for its size, including a rated load of 600 kg and breakout force of 13 kN.
Thanks to its articulated oscillating joint and narrow profile, the SL 06W can easily manoeuvre in restricted areas like urban construction sites or tight agricultural pathways. Its auxiliary oil flow (25 L/min at 18 MPa) ensures efficient attachment use, while its hydrostatic transmission and hydraulic quick coupler support excellent operator efficiency.
Designed with operator comfort in mind, the SL 06W is available in open canopy or cabin versions, and features intuitive joystick controls, adjustable steering column, and ergonomic layout. Its easy serviceability and low fuel consumption make it a smart long-term investment for professionals seeking efficiency, durability, and low cost of ownership.
SL 12W: compact powerhouse
The SL 12W brings higher performance for more demanding jobs, with an operating weight of 2,500 kg and rated load capacity of 1,300 kg. It is equipped with a Kubota D1703 engine delivering 18.5 kW, a planetary axle for superior torque, and a hydraulic quick-change system for fast attachment switching.
The loader’s rugged design, reinforced structure and advanced kinematics allow it to handle heavier loads while maintaining stability and smooth operation. The SL 12W offers breakout forces up to 19 kN and supports pallet forks, log grabbers, grass grippers, and other attachments. A float function and triple mechanical operation enhance precision on ground-level tasks.
Its compact width (1.35 m) and tight turning radius (3.3 m) make the SL 12W ideal for both urban projects and open sites, offering the best balance between performance, comfort, and flexibility.
Like its smaller sibling, the SL 12W is available in both open canopy and fully enclosed cabin versions, the latter featuring enhanced visibility, optional heating, and ROPS/FOPS certification. Routine maintenance is made easy through direct access service points and split hydraulic hoses, ensuring high uptime and reliability on site.
Backed by european support
Both models benefit from Sunward’s strong European footprint, including a distribution and parts hub in Belgium and a network of over 150 local dealers. Each machine undergoes final customisation and pre-delivery inspection in Europe to meet local requirements.
With the addition of the SL 06W and SL 12W, Sunward Europe continues to deliver value-driven, efficient, and well-supported equipment across the continent — building on its promise of innovation, reliability, and excellent return on investment.
