Sunward Ships SWTH4517 Telehandlers in Bulk to Africa

On August 11, Sunward completed bulk shipment of its SWTH4517 telehandlers, officially marking their departure for Africa. The equipment, secured through a competitive bidding process, will support local development and construction projects, further deepening China-Africa cooperation in construction machinery and expanding Sunward's footprint in the African market.

Five key upgrades across the board

The next-generation SWTH4517 has undergone comprehensive enhancements, reaching internationally competitive standards in five areas: design, visibility, comfort, safety, and serviceability.

• Design: Inspired by an eagle's diving wings, the new exterior blends power and agility.

• Visibility: Swing-type outriggers simplify the structure, reduce weight, and significantly improve the driver's field of view. An additional bottom glass panel on the cab door further enhances safety during travel.

• Comfort: The machine now features electric joystick controls for quicker, more responsive handling. The cab comes equipped with a 10.1-inch display, climate control, an infotainment system, and multiple charging ports.

• Safety: Long-tilt sensors, an ACT load weighing system, and a rear-axle torque limiter work together to monitor boom position, load weight, and axle load in real time, providing comprehensive protection for the operator, machine, and materials.

• Serviceability: Nine key filters for the engine, transmission, hydraulics, and air conditioning are centrally positioned for quick access. A bus-type fuse box reduces electrical system failures, simplifying maintenance.

Rigorous testing for reliable performance

Every unit underwent extensive factory testing, including rough-terrain driving, incline parking, and brake distance checks, to ensure dependable operation and help customers maximize productivity.
